What is Fitness Pilates?

Fitness Pilates is a training option that focuses on the body as a human kinetic chain. By applying the fundamental Pilates technique and exercises Fitness Pilates aims to offset musculoskeletal imbalances.


The aim of F.P is to identify basic postural imbalances and through Pilates based exercises:
* Increase muscular balance and strength
* Improve clients posture
* Facilitate the clients ability to optimally function occupationally and recreationally
* Improve Core and Back Strength

Where does Fitness Pilates fit in with other Pilates programmes?

Fitness Pilates is a group exercise programme designed to enhance the posture, strength, balance and stability of a healthy adult. Fitness Pilates is based upon the teachings of Joseph Pilates and effective exercise prescription. It is not remedial,
clinical or diagnostic in its approach but has its base firmly in group fitness.

Fitness Pilates For Women - Saturday at 11am

A 30 minute express pilates workout to tone, lengthen and tighten!

Fitness Pilates For Men - Thursday at 7pm

This dynamic and athletic class will improve core strength, agility and flexibility and is ideal for sports players.

What is Fitness Yoga?

Fitness Yoga is a fitness program that incorporates stretch, strength & Yoga postures.

Every element of Fitness Yoga is validated from a fitness perspective. Any one taking part in a Fitness Yoga class can expect to improve their flexibility greatly in 8 weeks.

How does Fitness Yoga differ from traditional Yoga?

Fitness Yoga is not a spiritual experience; it mimics Yoga in its breathing, focus and style offering postures that endorse strength and stability. There is no dogma, chanting or philosophy attached to this workout. There are no Sanskrit terms as postures are prescribed from the bodies natural anatomical perspective. During Fitness Yoga moves and postures can be sequenced together to the beat of the music making transitions seamless and graceful.
